NBR/Nitrile/Buna Rubber
NBR is the most popular material for o rings,it can be oil resistant, water proof,also resistant to silicone greases,hydraulic fluids,alcohols and gasoline.and the price of it is relatively cheap.
Silicone/VMQ
Silicone material is non-toxic so they are widely used by the food and medical industries. ideal for high and low temperature resistant,it is also excellent resistance to ozone,weathering and aging.but the silicone material can not be used for oil resistant.
Viton/FKM/FPM/Fluroelastomer
viton material can resistant to a wide variety of chemicals and aging, ozone. it is better than silicone and NBR, but it is expensive.
O Ring is used for static or dynamic application,it is cheap and simple in design, but it highly critical in manufacturing and industry.
