Draw your plans for your slackline and gather all supplies. If you are using trees as your anchor points, consider the distance between the trees to determine how much line you need. 2. Attach an anchor to one of the anchor points. This will be your stationery anchor. Make sure that you pad a tree to prevent damage to the tree if you are using a tree as an anchor point. 3. Secure one end of the slackline to the stationary anchor. You will use a figure eight on a bight with a clip attached to secure the slackline. 4. Assemble a basic pulley system to the other anchor point. This will be the adjusting anchor that you can use to tighten or loosen the tension of your slackline. 5. Thread your slackline through the pulley system. Make sure that the end of the slackline securely fastens to the rest of the slackline. 6. Adjust the tension of your slackline. You can sit on the line and bounce to get the line to stretch. Once the line has stretched, adjust to the desired tension. 7. Check the slackline to be sure that it is secure before each walk on it. Tips & Warnings 1. Always build your slackline over a soft area such as thick grass if you are a beginner. 2. Never walk on a slackline that is not secure. 3. Don't ever walk on a slackline alone or without proper safety equipment. Always have a partner to watch you and help make sure that your safety equipment is secure.
