Industrial Iodine

Industrial iodine could be used to produce raw materials of various chemical products.I. In dye industry, iodine is the raw material of compounding organic dyestuff such as tar dyestuff of phthalein series and cyanine-series pigments.II. Usual paints such as diiod fluorescein, quaiod fluorescein, diiod eosin, Bengal rose red and cyanine all contain iodine. In the aspect of illumination, tungaten iodide lamp made of iodine has intensive luminosity. Indium iodide and thallium iodide can also be used to produce colorful fiber lamps.III. In food industry, sodium iodate can improve quality of bread while potassium iodate can be used as additive agent of iodized salt. Adding thyroprotein into feedstuff can prevent various illnesses.Iodine is used as catalyzer in chemical industry and to compound methyl iodide and iodoethane in chemical synthesis industry. In the field of metallurgy, iodine is used to refine high-purity titanium, cobalt, silicon and germanium.
