| UMRAN Steel Line Pipe is manufactured by two different processes; namely, Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and Electric Resistance Welding (ERW). Steel pipe production is realized in three separate mills, two of which are located in Istanbul and Bolu, Turkey and one in Flemalle, Belgium. Umraniye pipe production complex is situated on 200,000 sq. Meters of land with a covered area of 40,000 sq. Meters. Production of SAW spirally welded pipes takes place in this mill within a range of 8" to 120" of outside diameter. Umraniye mill has five pipe production lines with an annual production capacity of more than 200,000 tons. Akcakoca Straight seam electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe production started in 1987 in separate plant located the black sea coast, convenient for overseas shipments. It is built on 400,000 sq. Meters of land with a covered area of 60,000 sq. Meters. Akcakoca mill manufactures ERW longitudinally welded pipes on two YODER lines within a range of 2" to 16" of outside diameter with an annual capacity of 400.000 tons as well as SAW spirally welded pipes from 16" upto 120" outside diameter. With an annual capacity of 100.000 tons. Flemalle industrial complex is situated near Liege on the Meuse River on 90,000 square meters of land with a covered area of 18,000 square meters. This plant produces SAW spiral welded steel pipes within a range of 20" up to 68" of outside diameter with wall thickness between 5 mm and 25.4 mm with an annual capacity of 100.000 tons.
