Reno Mattress IntroductionThe reno mattress is a flexible and permeable structure made of double twisted hexagonal wire mesh. It is of great significance in river bank protection and as channel linings for erosion control. Usually the heavily zinc-coated soft temper steel is used to make the reno mattress. Generally, the thickness of the reno mattresses (also called river gabion mattresses, gabion mats) can range form 0.15 to 0.5m. The tolerances of mattress’ dimensions are 3% up and down in length, 3% up and down in width and 2.5cm up and down in height. Various specifications of different lengths, widths and heights can be supplied. In order to make the reno mattresses be with a high strength, all the edges of the mattress are selvedged with wire of greater diameter. Typically standard sizes of reno mattresses are 3mx2mx0.3m and they are usually covered with zinc or PVC coating. Reno mattress has a hexagonal mesh with the opening of 80x100mm with 2.5mm mesh wire and 3.0mm selvedge wire diameter.
