Specifications: The print area for the Flexi-Jet Standard is 16 x20, which is larger than our competitor's 13 x18, print area. The Flexi-Jet uses heated platens which help set the ink better to eliminate dot gain during print, thus ensuring sharper print without blurring because the ink sets right in place without traversal. Also, the heat aids in performing interim heat curing for facilitating stacking of garments for better production. It is capable of printing its platen size area in under 2 1/2, minutes at 360 dpi and under 5 minutes at 760 dpi. The platen uses servo motors, as opposed to manual controls, thus affording smoother vertical motion in its positional adjustment. The platen remains stationary during print while the print head does the moving. This ensures better accuracy in printing and, in the case of the Extended model, helps facilitate higher production in terms of loading and unloading capability because items can be loaded and unloaded while the printer is in motion. The Flexi-Jet utilizes a proprietary filtering system called APES - Airborne Particulate Evacuation System - which has the two-fold benefit of both filtering out airbone particles which can clog the print head and, via the air expelled, drying the garment enough to allow stacking during unloading without fear of ink bleedthrough |
