Reimei that is the first brewed Japanese refined sake from sub-tropical islands of okinawa, the southern tip of Japan. Because refined sake calls for cold temperatures, the tradition of sake-making did not develop in the southern island of okinawa. But the brewery founder succeeded in breaking the limits of brewing technology in okinawa. Sake is a beverage fermented from rice, which is a grain. This would make it more of a beer than a wine. Yet, sake is not carbonated, and flavor-wise is closer to wine than beer, although it is indeed uniquely different from wine. Sake is not a distilled beverage, and is not even remotely related to gin, vodka or other spirits It can be enjoyed either hot or cold and served warm, chilled or at room temperature.
