After boiling sugar 150 C, liquid from the saponaria root is added and beated until a white sugar syrup is produced. Then, tahini is added and it is molded until the required consistency is obtained. According to the variety hazelnut, pistachio or cacao are added. Then the mixture is poured into desired moulds to be left to chill. It becomes a delicious desert especially for winter months. Halvah is a very nutrious and natural desert. |
