Waste water is separated into distillate (clean water) and a waste concentrate of only 3 - 15% of the original quantity. The distillate is so clean that it can be discharged into the sewer or - even better - recyled in production.Extensive technical preexaminations prove the quality of the distillate. Anayses are performed by both EnvoTech and accredited laboratories.The analyses are selected in cooperation with the customer, and in accordance with current environmental requirements.Operating costsEnvoTech units are optimized to use a minimum of energy. The hot zone is insulated in order to minimize heat loss to the surroundings. Start-up and operation is fully automatic. Water water is supplied to the holding tank via a self-priming feed pump through two heat exchangers where the incoming waste water is heat exchanged with the outgoing distillate and blow-off gas. In the starting phase the waste water is heated by electric heating elements, until the working temperature of approx. 100oC has been reached. The heating elements are then used only to compensate thermal loss to the surroundings.The waste water is circulated through the "dirty" side of the evaporation heat exchanger. When the operating temperature has been reached the compressor starts automatically, whereby the produced vapour is drawn from the holding tank through the mechanical foam breaker.The compressor increases the pressures of the vapour and thus also its temperature before the vapour is transferred to be condensed on the "clean" side of the evaporation heat exchanger. The energy released by condensation is used to evaporate the waste water on the "dirty" side of the evaporation heat exchanger. Thus energy circuit is closed. The distillate is now led to a coalescer, where any non-polar substances transferred during the evaporation are separated. From the coalescer the distillate leaves the unit through the large heat exchanger where it is heat exchanged with the incoming waste water.
