The CWE Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer is a batch powder mixer with cost effective solutions and innovative designs. Working Principle and Structure The AWE Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer is a batch powder mixer. It is housed within two parallel drums containing counter-rotating overlapping shafts with paddles fixed at a pre-determined angle, giving a high mixing efficiency. The paddles have close tolerance to the troughed walls, providing an area of low shear force. Both bulk blending and dispersive mixing is possible within the Paddle Mixer, regardless of product density or particle size. The process is reasonably gentle. Batch type Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer is composed of: 1. Mixing drums with venting spout. 2. Twin shafts and special angled paddles. 3. Bomb bay discharge gate, a variety of shapes and dimensioned inlets are available. 4. Bearings at both ends of main shafts. 5. Two end plates to carry flanged end bearing assemblies complete with integrated shaft sealing unit. 6. Triple chain drive unit, including power transmission. 7. Crushing sticks are optional (suitable for agglomerating material). Main Features Include: Can be manufactured in carbon steel, anti-wear steel 304-304L, 316-316L All interior corners have a radius to prevent material collecting and creating problems during discharge or cleaning Clearances are meticulously controlled All internal welds are ground to a smooth surface The risk of materials building up between the trough agitators and the trough are low A wide range of capacities are possible, from 100L to 10, 000L/batch There are many options such as special entries and couplings European drives, CIP cleaning nozzles, bomb bay discharge all as standard Compliant with stringent safety, environmental and hygiene standards Advantages: Maximum mixing homogeneity Mixing of fragile materials without particle damage Minimum wear/low maintenance Easy access Minimum residue Possibility of bomb bay discharge
