Assembled printed circuit boards are using conformal coatings to help ensure dependable performance under challenging conditions. In many applications where coating is essential include electronics, automotive assemblies, industrial controls, domestic appliances, consumer products, military and aerospace systems and medical devices. Conformal coatings provide dielectric insulation, protection against moisture, hydrocarbons, dust, and other contaminants, and improve resistance to abrasion, thermal shock, and vibration. There are a few methods to apply conformal coatings include brush-on coating, dip coating, spray coating and vacuum deposition. (e. G. Parylene coatings)
