Introduction The machine is used for cutting PU rigid polyfoam foamed in box into slices of required thickness. Characteristics: 1. The equipment includes cutter-tightening wheels, having good rigidity, especially suitable for slicing PU foam plastic with the Shaw hardness below 80 and having big bearing ability and stable cutting property. 2. Square steel worktable with smooth surface and strenghful structure is adopted to mate with rigid wheel case and to guarantee stability and accuracy in the process of cutting. 3. Slicing tool employs a wide strip cutter. The cutter produces no flying dust and ensures smoothness and good parallelism of slicing surface, yet leaving no cutting trace. 4. Operations of the machine can be completed by means of program-controlling, which has advantages of precisely controlling cutter height, easily setting computer, owning photoelectric display function and having convenient operating modes of both auto and manual. Structure and operating principle The machine is consisted of cutter-tightening wheel, cutter raising and lowering mechanism, worktable assembly and computer controlling system and so on. It works as follows: Slicing thickness and cutter raising height shall be predefined, then cutter raising and lowering mechanism goes into automatic working state and the worktable carries foam to be sliced by the strip cutter on high-speed rotating wheels. After slicing is finished, computer will sent out a signal and cutter shall be automatically raised to preset height and worktable will return to original place. At this time the cutter, deducting the raised height, will be lowered to the appointed height and prepare for another cutting.
